Training, Qualifications & Experience

I have a post graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Liverpool John Moores University and a Masters Degree in Education.

I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPsS). In 2012 I became an Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work using the BACP Code of Ethics. I attend courses regularly as I believe I am always learning. My further training has included areas such as: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Coping with Shame and Working with Survivors of Abuse.

I have also trained as a Brainspotting therapist.

I worked for over 10 years as a counsellor with a charity that specialises in supporting survivors of recent and historical rape and childhood sexual abuse. I understand how difficult it can seem to share personal aspects of life.

I work with adults and young people from 15 to 80+ years.

I have a current DBS check.
