I came to Mary at probably the lowest point in my life following a couple of personally distressing events.

From the very first session, Mary started to get me back on track. I’m not exaggerating when I say she had an immediate effect. Mary listened to my situation and calmly offered guidance and practical help. This wasn’t some wishy-washy sympathy; it was tailored, individual counselling to help me recover from my distress. Mary built my trust by sharing some of her own life events so I felt like I was chatting to an old friend which is what I needed - the ability to trust someone to help me resolve my issues.

I cannot underestimate the effect that Mary has had on my life in the past 6 months, she has made a huge difference for me. I’m now well on the road to recovery, in large part thanks to her, and I thoroughly recommend her services to anyone who is struggling with the stresses of life or going through a traumatic event.

When I decided to tackle my unhappiness, my doctor told me to trust my gut instinct when seeking a counsellor, and I am so very glad I did. I knew within minutes of talking to Mary on the phone, that there was someone who I could trust and build an excellent relationship with. She is someone who is warm, caring, patient but above all totally professional. All of these qualities are allied to her home which is set in a beautiful, tranquil village; this environment really helped to set a tone of quiet calmness, perfect for opening up and tackling life's hardships.

Mary has become an invaluable resource to me and someone I can trust with any issues that bother me. I dare say that with her guidance, she has changed my life for the better in so many ways. My sense of happiness, empowerment and contentedness are in a different league compared to how I felt before we met. I feel truly in control of my own life and destiny.
